Canadians are buying vehicles from the U.S. and bringing them back into Canada, thinking that they are going to save themselves thousands of dollars.  They always hear the great points and all the good stories, but they don't hear the "other" side!  Why is this?

People never want to tell others when things go wrong. They don't want people to know that they made a mistake - that maybe the deal wasn't quite so good, or that the savings weren't really there, or that perhaps they were saddled with a lemon or that they actually lost money.

This web-site has been developed by a number of unbiased participants who have seen the problems or know of issues that they want to share with you, to help you understand the process and what you may go through trying to purchase and import your vehicle into Canada. Contrary to what you may believe from reading this, NONE OF THE CONSULTANTS THAT DESIGNED THIS SITE ARE DEALERS, NOR ARE WE IN THE VEHICLE RETAIL INDUSTRY. The cost of building this website has been covered by various sponsors, but the site was built and designed by independent consultants and not the sponsors themselves.

Now this site is not always going to be totally accurate and rules and regulations will vary depending on where you live, what you are importing, where you are importing from and the age and value of the vehicle being imported. This site is meant to be a guide for people to use to help educate themselves on the potential problems or issues that they may have trying to save themselves some money importing a vehicle.
